Serving Our Community
FONA donates an average of 19% post-tax profit each year to support philanthropic organizations. In addition, we actively support local schools, community groups and organizations through our community education program which features tours, demonstrations, speakers and frequent access to our facility and staff.
We’re pleased to share a little about some of the organizations we support:
DayOneNetwork is dedicated to helping families with children and adults who have developmental delays or disabilities from day one of a diagnosis. Their goal is to connect people with the services and support that best meet their needs in Kane County, Kendall County and Hanover Township of Cook County.
Northern Illinois Food Bank (NIFB) has a vision to create a hunger-free northern Illinois. The mission of NIFB is to provide nutritious food to all those in need through their own efforts and those of their 665 partner agencies in 13 counties. NIFB distributes approximately three million pounds of food each month through local food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, youth activity centers and other food assistance sites.
Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation was established in 1962 by the late Max McGraw, who was the founder of the McGraw Edison Co., a sportsman and an ardent conservationist. His purpose for the foundation was furthering management and conservation of wildlife and fisheries resources through programs of research, education, and cooperation with other agencies. Its work fulfills the needs of the conservation community on a local and national basis.
Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice is a non-profit, volunteer-based, community-funded organization that has been dedicated to providing practical, spiritual and emotional support to individuals with life-threatening or terminal illnesses and grieving persons and their families since 1981.
