We place the safety of our work force among our highest corporate priorities and invest thousands of hours into safety training each year. We believe investing in a safe, well-trained and growing workforce is the best way to ensure we achieve the employee engagement that allows us to address the opportunities and challenges the future holds. And it’s working for us. In 2011, we achieved one of the highest overall employee engagement scores ever recorded by our survey association, MRA – The Management Association based in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
We strive to make every employee’s career at FONA an enriching, rewarding and life-enhancing experience. This starts with having a well-rounded and robust compensation and benefits program. In 2010 we increased benefits in numerous areas including increased coverage in dental, and a new Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO option that is 100% company-paid for both our employees and their families.
FONA regards education as a life-long process, and learning happens every day here. It is FONA’s goal to provide an environment where employees receive training and development that not only allows them to be better, more effective employees, but also has a positive effect on their personal and family lives. Every FONA employee is provided the opportunity to complete 40 hours of continuing education a year, and in 2011 our tuition reimbursement program was expanded to include full reimbursement for undergraduate and graduate programs.

Our generous benefits and incredible culture earned FONA the top honor of “Best of the Best” in the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in Chicago competition hosted by the National Association of Business Resources (NABR) in 2011. We have earned awards for recruitment and retention and work-life balance in previous years of the competition.
